METROPOLITAN STATE HOSPITAL-Located in Norwalk, Los Angeles County.

Under the direction of the Supervisor II/Supervisor I or designee, the Analyst I/Analyst II is responsible for a variety of activities and complex technical analytical staff services work in the Contract Program. Duties include consultative and analytical services to management and others, coordination of the planning, development, and final drafting of all contracted services. Incumbent must exercise the ability to act independently, remain flexible, and reason logically, creatively and utilize a variety of analytical techniques to resolve the more complex problems.  

Minimum Qualifications:

Analyst I: Four years of work experience performing analytical, technical, clerical, and/or customer service duties. Academic education from an accredited college/university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Analyst II :  Four years of work experience performing analytical, technical, clerical, and/or customer service duties. Academic education from an accredited college/university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis; and

An additional year of professional analytical and/or technical experience equivalent to an Analyst I, Range C.

Statement of Qualifications

Applicants must include a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for this position. Applications submitted without an SOQ will not be considered. The SOQ serves as documentation of each candidate’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. When completing your SOQ, include all relevant experience, education, and training.

Your SOQ should  follow the following format:

• A title of “Statement of Qualifications”
• Your name on the right-hand corner of each page
• Shall be no more than 2 pages
• Typed using Arial 12-point font, single spaced
• Please number your responses in the same order as the questions are listed: 1-3. Do not consolidate your response.

1. Describe your experience in fiscal management including budget forecasting, record-keeping and reporting, and oversight and monitoring of contracts to ensure fiscal accountability.
2. Describe your experience in conducting research, analyzing data, and creating reports to make recommendations to management.
3. Describe how you keep your work organized and what methods you utilize to keep asset management up to date and accurate for review at any given time.
