OPERATIONS & INVENTORY MANAGER (IN-STORE)

DESCRIPTION

The Operations & Inventory Manager is responsible for executing and overseeing inventory processes, maintaining store organization, and ensuring operational efficiency. This role plays a key part in receiving shipments, monitoring stock levels, and addressing technical and facility-related issues to ensure a seamless in-store experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Management & Stock Control

• Point person for all store deliveries. Executes the receiving process, report issues, and take necessary steps to resolve discrepancies with the Retail Operations & Inventory Control Manager.
• Act as the primary contact for all in-store deliveries.
• Maintain an organized backroom, especially after receiving shipments.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, or as-needed cycle counts and report findings.
• Execute annual physical inventory under the direction of the Retail Operations & Inventory Control Manager.
• Capture and record FIFO (First In, First Out) product information and report to the Retail Operations & Inventory Control Manager.

Store Operations & Maintenance

• Ensure the store is clean, stocked, and well-organized.
• Report store supply needs and ensure replenishment.
• Resolve all technical issues in-store.
• Assist with facility maintenance, including coordinating in-store upkeep and cleaning, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Follow and execute all opening and closing procedures per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of all store processes and policies.
• Support daily operational functions, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling and compliance with company policies.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by monitoring security procedures and enforcing operational policies.
• Ensure that all pricing, promotions and markdown strategies are executed consistently and effectively.

Brand Compliance & Best Practices

• Follow all operational and inventory-specific tasks outlined in the Mystery Shopper Survey, ensuring adherence to brand priorities and best practices.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Previous experience in retail operations, inventory management, or a related field.
• Experience in store opening and closing procedures including cash handling.
• Experience with Physical Inventory and Cycle Counts preferred
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and general technical troubleshooting.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally and 30 pounds frequently, as well as climb stairs to and from the stockroom.
