Job Description

The West Town Bakery division of the Fifty/50 Group is looking for hospitable Barista who is looking to be the lead Barista at our location at the ACME Hotel.
This position will be the sole barista at this location on 4-5 days per week, with additional support from the team at the Berkshire Room and our corporate team. This position is a great opportunity for someone that wants to have creative input on new specialty coffee drinks, develop new breakfast sandwiches, and grow into a larger role with the group. Attendance is critical to your success in this role. 

A Barista will be in charge of his or her section behind the counter. Serving coffees, breakfast pastries, desserts, building breakfast sandwiches, and other pre-made items. 

Essential Functions:

• Take beverage orders from guests.
• Learn the names and personally recognize our regulars, while actively developing your own
• Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks consistent with the Restaurant's standard drink recipes.
• Record drink and food orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system.
• Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).
• Replenish the pastry case throughout the day and keep sandwich bar fully stocked.
• Clear and reset guest tables.
• Make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages, pastries, and sandwiches.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the Restaurant including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
• Prepare and deliver coffee and room service orders to hotel guests.
• Assist the restocking and replenishment of Restaurant inventory and supplies.

Other Functions:

• complying with health and food safety standards, restocking items, cleaning,
• operating the cash register, answering the phone, providing great customer service, and following Fifty/50 Restaurant Group policies & procedures

Physical Functions:

• Ability to stand/walk a minimum of 8 hours or as needed.
• Must be able to exert well-paced and frequent mobility for periods of up to 8 hours or as needed.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds frequently.
• Will frequently reach and bend.
  
  

  Qualifications, Education and Behavior

  • At least 18 years old.
  • Have a minimum of 12 months barista experience
  • Ability to work quickly while maintaining safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to properly handle a knife, confidently.
  • Ability to work early morning hours.
  • Ability to work consistent schedule at least 3 days per week.
