Job Summary

The Busser/Runner at Boul’Ange plays a key role in ensuring smooth service and a welcoming environment for guests. This position combines both bussing and running responsibilities: delivering food and beverages promptly, clearing and resetting tables, refilling water and other drinks, and checking in with guests to make sure their needs are met. Bussers/Runners are an essential support to both the counter team and kitchen, helping maintain the café’s community feel and family-style teamwork.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Deliver food and drinks from the counter or kitchen to guests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Clear used dishes, utensils, and glassware from tables; clean table for guests staying longer and reset tables quickly and neatly for the next guests.
• Refill water and other designated beverages, ensuring guests are comfortable and cared for.
• Communicate with guests in a warm and friendly manner, checking in to see if they need anything else.
• Support counter servers and kitchen staff by keeping dining areas tidy and service moving smoothly.
• Stock bussing stations with napkins, utensils, glassware, and other supplies throughout the shift.
• Assist with cleaning of dining areas, patios, and service stations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support café operations.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; able to engage guests warmly and respectfully.
• Ability to move quickly and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail in clearing, resetting, and delivering orders.

Education and Experience

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous restaurant, café, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Must successfully complete the Boul'Ange training program.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly to keep pace with service demands.
