We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Data Center Foreman to lead installation teams within mission-critical data center environments. This role is responsible for supervising technicians and leads, coordinating daily field operations, and ensuring all work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with strong technical expertise in low voltage and structured cabling systems, capable of managing crews, driving production, and interfacing with project leadership. This individual should be ready to step into a Superintendent role within 6 months, demonstrating ownership of project execution, scheduling, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:Supervise and lead field crews (Technicians, Leads) on data center installations, ensuring productivity, quality, and adherence to project timelines
Plan and coordinate daily work activities , assigning tasks based on crew skill level and project priorities
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for execution, communicating updates, risks, and progress to Superintendents and Project Managers
Ensure all installations meet industry standards (ANSI/TIA/EIA, BICSI) and customer specifications
Oversee installation of low voltage systems , including structured cabling (Cat5e/6/6A), fiber optic systems, rack and stack, and pathway infrastructure
Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project documentation , ensuring accurate execution in the field
Drive quality control and perform inspections , identifying and correcting deficiencies before client review
Enforce safety standards and data center protocols , maintaining a zero-incident job site
Manage material staging, inventory, and tool readiness to prevent delays and inefficiencies
Mentor and develop junior technicians and leads , providing training, guidance, and performance feedback
Track daily production and provide reporting on progress, labor utilization, and potential schedule impacts
Coordinate with other trades and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of work within the data center environment
Troubleshoot complex installation issues and provide technical guidance to the team
High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred (e.g., BICSI, OSHA 10/30)
5+ years of experience in data center or low voltage installations, with progressive leadership experience
Strong hands-on experience with structured cabling, fiber optics, rack and stack, and pathway installation
Proven ability to lead crews and manage field operations in fast-paced environments
Deep understanding of industry standards (ANSI/TIA/EIA, BICSI) and best practices
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, one-lines, and construction drawings
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience with quality control, punch lists, and project closeout processes
Ability to work independently while coordinating with broader project leadership
Physically capable of performing job site duties (lifting up to 50 lbs, working in various environments)
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
Experience working in hyper-scale data center environments
BICSI Technician or Installer certification (or equivalent)
OSHA 30 certification
Experience with project scheduling, manpower forecasting, and production tracking
