Job Description

The clean room assembler works in a controlled medical device environment to carefully assemble neurosurgical sponges using a thread and sewing needle. This role involves highly repetitive, detail-oriented work that supports the production of precise medical products.

Responsibilities

• Assemble neurosurgical sponges in a clean room environment using a thread and sewing needle .
• Follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures with a high level of accuracy.
• Perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining consistent quality and productivity.
• Use hand tools and demonstrate strong hand dexterity to complete fine, detailed assembly work.
• Inspect components during and after assembly to ensure products meet medical device quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with clean room protocols.
• Adhere to all production, safety, and quality guidelines throughout the assembly process.
• Report any defects, issues, or deviations from work instructions to the appropriate personnel.
• Contribute to general production tasks as needed to support team and workflow requirements.
• Arrive on time, follow the assigned schedule, and maintain reliable attendance.

Essential Skills

• Proven reliability and strong attendance record.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and quality.
• Excellent attention to detail in a production or assembly setting.
• Comfort working in a clean room medical device environment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and hand dexterity for fine assembly work.
• Ability to follow detailed written work instructions accurately.
• Experience with assembly or production work, preferably in a clean room or medical device setting.
• Ability to use basic hand tools safely and effectively.
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a production team during 1st shift hours.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in medical device assembly or clean room production is beneficial.
• Familiarity with sewing needles or similar fine manual work is an advantage.
• Comfort with repetitive, process-driven tasks in a structured environment.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to strict quality and cleanliness standards.

Work Environment

This position is based in a clean room medical device production facility. You work on 1st shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The environment is controlled and cleanliness-focused, with strict protocols to maintain product and workplace safety. You spend most of your time at a workstation performing fine assembly tasks with hand tools and sewing needles, following detailed work instructions. The setting emphasizes precision, consistency, and adherence to clean room procedures throughout the workday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beverly, MA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Beverly,MA.
