Overview

A leading global alternative investment firm is seeking an Equity Financial Analyst to join its New York, Stamford or Chicago offices.

The firm is looking for bright, motivated, and collaborative people to join and grow with the team — more than 90% of the leaders were promoted from within.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn your PM’s and team’s investing process and exchange insights, identify cross-sector themes, and debate investment ideas
  • Build and refine detailed financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses of public companies within your sector
  • Conduct fundamental research on individual companies, industries, and subsectors to identify emerging risks and potential investment opportunities
  • Develop and present actionable investment recommendations directly to your PM
  • Attend conferences and industry events
  • Build relationships with relevant sell-side analysts, salespeople, and research associates
  • Embody the firm’s commitment to ethics, professionalism, integrity, and excellence—especially in partnership with the Compliance team
  • Analyze and incorporate macroeconomic and industry-specific developments and trends into your research
  • Take advantage of development and analytics resources to become the best version of yourself as an investor

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, hedge fund, investment management, private equity or another relevant industry role
  • Strong financial modeling and business analysis skills
  • Passion for public markets investing
