Job Description:

As an Infrastructure Solutions Architect, you will provide enterprise infrastructure architecture leadership and technical guidance for mission-critical applications and services supporting large-scale business operations. You will be responsible for designing, validating, and maintaining infrastructure architectures that ensure scalability, security, reliability, and operational efficiency across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. This role requires extensive experience in infrastructure design, systems integration, cloud architecture, data management, and enterprise technology standards while collaborating closely with project teams, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise infrastructure architecture solutions supporting critical business applications.
• Coordinate and integrate system data models and designs to promote data sharing, eliminate redundancy, and improve efficiency.
• Partner with project managers to develop infrastructure plans, estimates, and implementation strategies.
• Collaborate with data stewards to develop, communicate, and enforce data classification policies and standards.
• Create, maintain, and govern metadata repositories, data structures, and data flow documentation.
• Develop, maintain, and validate system-level architecture and infrastructure designs.
• Define and enforce data governance standards, procedures, and security guidelines to ensure data integrity and quality.
• Develop information architecture models aligned with enterprise information management strategies.
• Design and maintain enterprise-wide data models that support integrated business operations.
• Establish and manage configuration management standards, processes, and governance policies.
• Document and validate application controls required to meet security and compliance requirements.
• Ensure seamless integration between internal systems and external business and technology platforms.
• Evaluate infrastructure issues and recommend software, platform, and architecture improvements.
• Lead application environment consolidation, migration, modernization, and integration initiatives.
• Gather, document, prioritize, and track technical requirements, risks, and issues related to infrastructure solutions.
• Provide technical leadership during implementation and deployment of enterprise solutions.
• Recommend integration strategies for existing and new technologies.
• Develop data management strategies supporting retention, governance, compliance, and security requirements.
• Facilitate architecture review sessions, solution design workshops, and technical discussions.
• Provide data modeling guidance including entity relationships, dependencies, and logical designs.
• Perform technical impact assessments for infrastructure changes and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Review enterprise architecture patterns, reference models, and design standards for solution alignment.
• Validate project deliverables, technical specifications, diagrams, and architecture documentation.
• Ensure architectural integrity, scalability, security, and performance across enterprise environments.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and architecture.
• 8+ years of experience with Windows Server administration and enterprise infrastructure design.
• Strong understanding of application architecture and enterprise platform integration.
• Experience with application servers such as WebLogic, WebSphere, or JBoss.
• Proven experience architecting and designing native and hybrid cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure architecture, systems integration, and platform design.
• Experience creating, updating, and maintaining technical and systems documentation.
• Experience utilizing architecture and diagramming tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, and Draw.io.
• Knowledge of database architecture, high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Experience administering or architecting IIS, Apache Web Server, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and related technologies.
• Experience designing scalable Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database environments.
• Strong understanding of network, web application, database, and infrastructure security principles.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, and Veracode.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code technologies including Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience supporting IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
• Experience architecting containerized solutions using Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Exposure to programming or scripting languages such as C#, Java, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• 3+ years of Network Administration experience preferred.
• 3+ years of SQL experience preferred.
• Strong Oracle database knowledge preferred.
• Experience with Cloudflare preferred.
• Experience working in large public-sector or highly regulated enterprise environments preferred.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $60.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
