Director of Human Resources

We are pursuing a Director of Human Resources to be responsible for the leadership abilities of the department and the continuing assessment of agency needs in areas such as regulatory compliance, recruiting, strategic planning, and developing agency policy. You will also lead the training department to ensure training programs are in compliance with OPWDD requirements. Previous practice in the Human Services field is strongly preferred.
What You’ll Bring To The function (Qualifications):

»Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or closely related field
» 10+ years of practice in Human Resources
» 5+ years of managery practice and/or commensurate level of demonstrated increased responsibility in HR management
»Proficiency with multiple computer applications, including personnel and payroll systems
»Strong leadership abilities expertise and capability to lead change
» expertise of OPWDD regulations is preferred
»Excellent organizational and time management expertise in a fast-paced environment

What You'll Do As The Director of Human Resources (Responsibilities):
» supervise the development of policies and procedures that ensure the continuing recruitment and hiring of agency staff
»Develop recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels and actively engage with department directors to ensure the department staffing needs are met.
»Analyze data related to turnover at the agency, department, and site level, and recommend strategies for turnover reduction
»Maintain consistent compensation policies; analyze current compensation trends and recommend changes as necessary
»Participate on COVID team to ensure COVID policies are followed
»Develop and ensure continuing managery training in areas related to human resource management, including interviewing, coaching, evaluating, and resolving conflicts
»In conjunction with CFO and Executive Director, supervise the 403b program and ensure compliance
»Identify and monitor training needs in the organization, and design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs, including meeting the changing needs of OPWDD training requirements
» supervise and directly handle employee disciplinary issues as needed
» supervise the employee benefit program and lead the Agency Wellness Program
» supervise performance management for the agency
» supervise the worker’s compensation program
» supervise the LENS program and ensure policies are followed around eligibility to drive
»Maintain expertise of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure agency compliance
»Participate on agency wide committees as assigned by the Executive Director
