Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting clinical operations by performing administrative and clinical tasks to ensure smooth patient care delivery. This role involves patient preparation, assisting healthcare providers, managing medical records, and facilitating communication within the clinical team. The Medical Assistant will work Monday through Friday with no call or weekend requirements, and must be willing to float to different facilities as needed within their scope of practice.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for examination and assist healthcare providers during patient visits.
• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and administering basic treatments as directed.
• Manage patient records, update electronic medical records (EMR) using Cerner system.
• Coordinate appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
• Float between facilities as required to support clinical operations within scope of practice.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• BLS certification.
• Medical Assistant certification from one of the following organizations: AAMA, AMT, NHA, ARMA, NCCT, NRCMA.
• Either Option 1: Minimum 2 years of experience plus an Associate's Degree or Diploma in Medical Assisting (transcripts required) along with MA certification and BLS.
• Or Option 2: Minimum 5 years of experience with MA certification and BLS.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working with Cerner EMR system.
• Familiarity with clinic operations and patient care workflows.

Special Considerations:

• No call or weekend work required.
• Return to Office (RTO) limited to 5 days, with no more than 2 consecutive days, no holiday or adjacent day RTO, and no weekend RTO.
• Mandatory floating to other facilities as needed within scope of practice.
• Clinic scrub color: any solid color.
• Parking is limited at primary facility; shuttle service and alternative parking options available; public transit recommended.

Scheduling:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM shifts (5 days a week, 8.5 hours per day, 40 hours per week).
