Effective July 1, 2025 in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 20, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.

CCHCS seeks to fill  Permanent Full-time Pharmacy Technician positions in the Medical Services, Central Fill Pharmacy .


Under the direct supervision of the Medical Services, Pharmacy Services, Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment (ISUDT)/Complex Care Pharmacist II, the Pharmacy Technician performs basic services in a pharmacy and technical duties. The Pharmacy Technician assists in maintaining pharmacy operations and assists the pharmacists in preparing prescriptions and maintains records and inventories of medications in accordance with Department policies and federal and State laws and regulations in support of the ISUDT program. May work around inmates of a correctional facility. Occasional travel may be required.

These positions are located in Central Fill Pharmacy , Medical Services, which  provides safe, effective and efficient health care to patients within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s 35 institutions.  The Central Pharmacy dispenses prescriptions to both inpatient and outpatient settings and provides clinical pharmacy services where necessary. Pharmaceutical care is provided to each prison by the local staff of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians through all levels of patient care (inpatient to ambulatory).
