Salary: $150,000 – $180,000

Schedule: Full-time, 5-day work week with flexibility to work weekends, particularly during the summer season. Summer schedule generally requires Wednesday – Sunday coverage while the family is in residence.

Locations / Travel: Based in Scarsdale, NY with summers spent in Bridgehampton, NY

Accommodation: Housing provided in Bridgehampton during the summer months. Position is live-out in Scarsdale during the remainder of the year.

A young family with a toddler is seeking an experienced and adaptable Private Chef to support their residences in Scarsdale and Bridgehampton. This is a Kosher household, and prior Kosher experience or familiarity with Kosher practices is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will create healthy, elevated meals for the family while also being comfortable preparing meals for guests and summer entertaining. Candidates with previous Yacht Chef or yachting experience are highly preferred due to the hospitality-focused nature of the role.

The family has two dogs, so candidates must be comfortable working in a pet-friendly environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals for the family including breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and children’s meals
• Create healthy, seasonal, and elevated menus
• Prepare meals for guests and summer entertaining
• Maintain Kosher kitchen standards and dietary practices
• Handle grocery shopping, kitchen inventory, and pantry organization
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen
• Travel seasonally between residences

Requirements

• 5+ years of Private Chef experience in private homes or UHNW environments, with longevity in each position and excellent references
• Kosher household experience preferred
• Culinary degree preferred
• Yacht Chef or yachting background strongly preferred
• Comfortable cooking for families and entertaining
• Comfortable with pets
• Flexible schedule with required weekend availability
• Professional, punctual, and highly reliable
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid U.S. work authorization
