Job Description

Ballinger Group is a leading provider of FX Treasury services, specializing in assisting clients with the mitigation of currency risk through tailored solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Risk Management Team in Malta as a Risk Analyst.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and analyse credit risk associated with clients seeking FX Treasury services.

  • Evaluate financial statements and other relevant information to determine creditworthiness.

  • Prepare comprehensive credit risk reports, outlining key findings and recommendations.

  • Provide recommendations on whether to grant credit facilities to clients.

  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for informed decision-making.

  • ERM Policy and Procedure Development and Review.

  • Assist in meeting DORA requirements throughout 2024 to ensure compliance with regulations.

  • ERM Risk assessment, involving the analysis, identification, description, and measurement of risks affecting our entity, documented in a risk register.

  • Conduct regular risk and control self-assessment exercises with risk owners and control owners.

  • Recommend and set internal risk controls for day-to-day business management.

  • Risk reporting, including risk metrics, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), dashboards, and emerging risks.

  • Work closely with the Risk Manager and other team members to support various risk management initiatives.

  • Assist with maintaining and improving our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solution.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Fluent in English.

  • Experience working in risk management roles in the financial services industry, preferably within the investment services sector.

  • Possession of a recognized degree in a related field.

  • Ability to work in a team, as well as on own initiative.

  • Meticulous and organized, with great attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA)

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of business continuity planning and disaster recovery planning, emphasizing the ability to navigate and mitigate potential risks effectively.
