Job Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Paramedic for travel assignments in various healthcare facilities. The Paramedic will provide emergency medical care, including advanced life support, during transport to medical facilities. This role requires quick decision-making, excellent clinical skills , and the ability to provide patient care in urgent situations. The Paramedic will respond to emergencies, administer medications, and support medical teams during patient assessments and treatments.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency medical situations and provide advanced life support (ALS) .
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and oxygen as required by patients' conditions.
  • Perform patient assessments and document findings accurately.
  • Assist in preparing patients for transport to medical facilities.
  • Operate and maintain ambulance and emergency equipment .
  • Communicate with healthcare providers and receive medical direction when needed.
  • Ensure safety protocols and regulations are followed during transport.
  • Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved Paramedic program .
  • Certification: EMT-P (Paramedic) certification required; BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Paramedic.
  • Skills: Strong decision-making skills, clinical proficiency, and the ability to remain calm in emergencies.
  • Travel Readiness: Willingness to take on travel assignments .
