Job Title: Welder / Fabricator

Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to work independently in a family-owned custom weld shop, focusing primarily on large structural steel projects while also handling one-off custom parts for various customers. You will interpret blueprints and weld symbols, set up and perform MIG and flux core welding in various positions, and contribute to a growing operation that values craftsmanship and versatility. Projects may include machinery stands, platforms, hand rails, machinery frameworks, and various other parts.

Responsibilities

• Work from blueprints and weld symbols to build custom weldments and projects
• Fit custom projects and tack parts into place prior to finishing welds
• Use MIG and FCAW welding processes on a daily basis
• Use overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials
• Grind and inspect finished welds to ensure work is completed accurately

Requirements:

• 1 year of welding experience OR technical welding degree required
• 2+ years of welding experience preferred but not required
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and weld symbols

Work Environment

A family-owned custom job shop environment with opportunity for growth, competitive PTO, and a full benefits package for employees. This is a 1st OR 2nd shift position based on employee preferences.

This is a Permanent position based out of Oshkosh, WI.

The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $31.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Oshkosh,WI.
