Job Description

A hospital in Las Cruces, New Mexico is seeking a mid-level Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Room department. This is a fully on-site, in-person position with no remote work option. Partial relocation assistance is available for candidates who qualify, and the employer is looking for someone who can begin within 30 days. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position and no travel is required.

The Emergency Room RN will deliver direct patient care within a fast-paced emergency department setting, responding to a wide range of acute and urgent patient presentations. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, the nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients across the full acuity spectrum. Advanced life support certifications must be obtained and maintained as a condition of ongoing employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in an emergency department environment
  • Respond to a broad range of acute and urgent clinical presentations
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for each patient
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated treatment delivery
  • Maintain all required advanced life support certifications throughout employment
  • Uphold patient safety standards and follow established emergency care protocols

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state of New Mexico required
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required
  • Current Basic Life Support certification required
  • ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required within six months of hire
  • Ability to start within 30 days required
  • Minimum of one year of emergency room experience preferred
  • Minimum of one year of general nursing experience preferred
